Yes, we sure do. Despite the massive shift of therapy to be online only, we understand that some connections are better in “real life.” We have a gorgeous clinic set up for therapy and yoga, located at the Oak Bay/Fort junction, with free parking right out front.

Yes, you can claim RSW (social work) services, but not RCCs.
The BC College of Social Workers shared this exciting announcement:https://bccsw.ca/public/
And here’s further confirmation from the Canada Revenue Agency:

You will always receive a receipt for services obtained. Please retain those receipts and submit with your tax return.
**If you submit some or all of the expense to your insurance, then you cannot claim it again as a medical expense.

Most of our clients claim our services on their insurance, if the plan offers support for mental health. Read your coverage carefully and select one of our clinicians that matches your coverage. If you’re not sure, feel free to email admin@heartworktherapy.net and we’ll help you to figure it out.
-
We do! Inquire with each therapist as their coverage differs but at Heart Work we can accommodate each of those needs.

No. Showing up to therapy is a time for you to experience being heard and understood. We know how to receive your story and will help you to unravel the pieces that are obstructing clarity or limiting growth. Bonus: we’ll be really kind to you while we do that!

For clients interested in adding yoga to their sessions, we start with one and move to the other. Sometimes people want to flow first, sometimes they want to talk. A yoga sequence will be designed especially for you, based on whatever you’re working through. We have space in our studio to work through this on the mats, but offer chair yoga too if that suits you more.
